That's the expectation of Greater Western Sydney forward Jeremy Finlayson, who believes the Giants and Richmond will field close to full strength sides for Sunday's pre-season clash in Wagga.
The grand final rematch is both teams' final hit-out before round one. Given six stars played in Friday's state of origin game, Culcairn product Finlayson expects them to return to the Giants line-up at Robertson Oval.
"I'm pretty sure we're going to go in at full strength. All our main players will come back and I think we talked about it after the game (Saturday's win over Sydney) that we'll go at full strength because it's our last hit out before round one," the 23-year-old said.
"That's good for the Riverina, they get to see the Giants at full strength and I'm pretty sure we'll go down there with most of our players.
"I think they (Richmond) will do the same. It's awesome the grand finalists of last year will bring two strong sides to the Riverina and people get to see them close up.
"We (Giants' Riverina products) can't wait to get back there. We don't get to do it often and even a big club like Richmond coming to play is great for the region."
The Giants will be without reigning best and fairest winner Tim Taranto after the midfielder dislocated his shoulder in the 94-point thrashing of the Swans.
Finlayson and Wagga product Harry Himmelberg both booted two goals, stepping up in the absence of stars Jeremy Cameron and Toby Greene.
"Without Toby or Jezza, I think it was good for Harry and myself to learn about leadership in the forward line," he said.
"It was mainly on us and my main take out of the game was it was a learning curve for me that I have to take into my game."
Finlayson insisted the 89-point grand final loss to the Tigers won't provide added motivation before the Wagga clash.
"That was effectively my first full season and to make a grand final was unreal, but we've put it all behind us," Finlayson said.
"The only time I think about it is when I get asked the question. I don't dwell on it in my head."
The Giants and Tigers' AFLW teams also clash at Robertson Oval on Saturday.
