The gala days cater for students from years three to six with over 35-40 teams doing battle, with the Mini Socceroos to get their turn on Friday.
Football Wagga is looking to provide an under-14 girls division for the first time this season, and development officer Kyle Yeates said the day was introduced a few years ago to increase the number of girls playing.
"It started out as just Mini Matildas a few years ago and the boys event followed," he said.
"We're hoping to make it a four day event next year, which will make it run a lot more smoothly.
"We never even thought we could get anywhere near an under-14 competition, and the fact we can look at doing it now is good for the game."
The Mini Socceroos event begins at 9.30am on Friday.
