NSW Fire and Rescue Riverina Zone Commander, Stewart Alexander, said the fire crews were alerted to the blaze on Lampe Avenue at 11.55 Monday night.
"We had three fire trucks arrive on site shortly after alongside police and ambulance crews," he said.
"The unit was totally destroyed by the fire and adjoining units sustained smoke damage."
Mr Alexander said the unit was one of three on the block, with crews working until about 1am to extinguish the blaze.

"Fortunately no injuries were reported, and it appeared that nobody was home at the unit where the fire sparked," he said.
"Somebody was home at the neighbouring unit though, but they were unharmed."
