The games will be held from February 29 to March 1 and there really is plenty to get excited about.
With a new sport in unisex softball being introduced to a calendar already brimming with activities for everyone, the games in 2020 are sure to be one of the best yet.
"We've gone back to holding it as an annual event, so everyone is getting behind that," Barellan Masters Games publicity officer Carl Chirgwin said.
This year the games will feature competition in nine different sports: lawn bowls, six-a-side cricket, netball, walking, triathlon, golf, basketball, tennis and unisex softball.
The idea behind the games is to have as many people involved as possible, bringing them into Barellan and showcasing what the town has to offer.
Money raised from the event also goes straight back into the community.
"We've already had a number of teams nominate in basketball, five to six teams in the softball, which is great," Chirgwin said.
"There seems to be a lot of interest in the other sports, we're just still trying to get the word out there and have people get involved.
"If you have 220 competitors and they all bring someone with them, that would be awesome. If we could get up around that 300-mark, it would be fantastic."
There are some sports Chrigwin would like to see have more participants in 2020.
"Golf, we'd love to see more golfers out here taking part," he said.
"Tennis as well. A lot of people playing tennis around the traps, it's doubles and mixed doubles, all abilities, it's for everyone. Even the Barellan walk.
"Come out, do your usual walk and you might end up winning a medal."
The games are creeping up, so it is important to strike while the iron is hot and get nominations in for each of the sports.
"We're holding the games February 29 and March 1 ... it is a leap year, so you never know, maybe there will even be a marriage proposal," Chirgwin joked.
"We're all really looking forward to the games again. It's a great thing for Barellan."
