Wagga Showgirl Kate Webster is headed to the Sydney Royal Easter Show after being named one of three finalists at the 2020 Zone 7 Showgirl final on Saturday.

Ms Webster will join Walbundrie Showgirl Aimee Riley and Cootamundra Showgirl Jessica Neale as the region's representatives at the April event.
The 24-year-old said the final was a "whirlwind" following the announcement she was one of the finalists, a result she was not expecting.
"I was actually completely shocked," she said.
Ms Webster was announced the Wagga Showgirl in September last year in her second attempt for the title.
She said the additional agricultural knowledge she had been able to pick up since first entering the competition had made it a "more worthwhile opportunity" and said the preparation for the competition had helped her grow as a person.
"I encourage any young woman who has the opportunity to get involved in showgirl to give it a go," she said.
"I have grown so much and I count so much of that growth to showgirl."

This year is set to have a busy start for Ms Webster, who is in her final semester of an Agricultural Science Honours degree at Charles Sturt University.
Over her degree she has also volunteered as part of the Wagga Show Society Next Generation Group while working full time.
"Life is a bit of a juggling act at times," she said.
However, she said keeping busy and getting involved in as much as possible was something she enjoyed.
Ms Webster said she used to attend the Sydney Show in school and was excited for the "very different experience" of returning this year as a showgirl contestant.
