After a four-putt on the playoff hole last year forced Ellems to settle for second to Yerin Kim in 2019, The Lakes member dominated from start to finish at three-under in the two round event, a whopping 14 strokes clear of nearest rivals Rachel Damee Lee (North Ryde) and Annika Boyd (Pymble).
Ellems carded the lowest round on each day, backing up an opening round 70 on Saturday with an even-par 73 on Sunday to secure her first Jack Newton Junior Golf series title.
The boys' event was far closer with St Michael's' Jeff Pullen overcoming NSW Golf Club's Sebastian Sara on the first playoff hole after they finished even with the card through two rounds.
Pullen registered a regulation par in the playoff, which was played on the ninth hole, to join Ellems as a first time winner.
Wagga hope Josie Currie finished outright tenth on 16-over after rounds of 83 and 79, while Bart Carroll (five-over) had to settle for equal eighth in the boys, five strokes behind the winner.
"She (Ellems) is a pretty good player and works hard at it. She was the only player who came down the week before for a practice round," Wagga Country Club professional James Purcell said.
"Bart didn't go too bad but didn't quite get things going. He was one of the favourites coming into the event, that's for sure, but he had a couple of errant tee shots and missed a couple of putts, and that's all it takes.
The Country Club will hold their pro-am late next month.
