The 23-year-old, who was driving a blue Nissan Skyline when he did a burnout on Undurra Drive on Tuesday, admitted to the offence.
The incident came one day after Wagga Neighbourhood Watch president Wayne Deaner called for a closer watch over speeding and reckless driving in suburban areas at night time, particularly Glenfield Park, Ashmont and Tolland.
Police managed to locate the man at a Glenfield Park house where it was discovered he had been disqualified from driving until March 11, 2024.
The vehicle, which did not belong to him, was also unregistered.
The man was charged with prolonged sustained loss of traction, drive whilst disqualified, drive unregistered and driving an uninsured motor vehicle.
Police thanked the community for their help in reporting the matter and providing information relating to the vehicle and driver.
