Just two weeks after extreme heat ruined the event, perfect weather greeted the rodeo extravaganza on Saturday evening.
"[Postponing] was definitely the right call to make for the sake of the public and the livestock," organiser John Gill said.
"The gate was unaffected by the postponement and it made for a more enjoyable day for all the families that came."
In other news:
Mr Gill said there was a record-breaking number of families that piled through the gates while total numbers were on par with last year, which saw more than 4000 people attend.
"It went very well and there were a lot of families," he said.
"We try hard to get families to come because we want it to be a family event."
He said the behaviour of attendees had been yet again a pleasure to deal with.
"We had no trouble, which makes it a great event to bring your kids," he said.
