The auxiliary presented its annual cheque to the hospital on Wednesday following a year of fundraising efforts, taking the group's total donation figure to $1.75 million since 2008.
This year's donation will allow the hospital to purchase a range of equipment including two bed movers, five electric beds, a bladder scanner, four sleep apnoea machines and a surgical nerve monitor.
Members of the auxiliary had the opportunity to see the result of some of their fundraising efforts in action, with wardsmen team leader Mark Sheehy demonstrating the features of an existing electric bed and bed mover.
Over the past 12 years the group has funded 78 new electric beds.
