Two new names went into the record books at Wagga Public School's swimming carnival at Oasis Regional Aquatic Centre on Friday.

Stella Flinn and Hamish Beggs both broke records at a successful school carnival.
Flinn clocked 59.81 seconds to break the girls eight years 50m freestyle record, while Beggs' 42.38 second effort bettered the previous mark for the boys nine years 50m freestyle.
Mirrabooka was declared house champion.
Wagga Public School sports coordinator Luke Kelly said the carnival was a great success.
"The students had a fantastic time, we had great weather and a great facility," Kelly said.
