Barring an outright loss against last-placed Lake Albert, or a loss with Kooringal Colts taking an upset outright victory over Wagga City in the final round, the Bulldogs will finish in fourth place.

Coming off a tie with leaders South Wagga, captain Sam Perry wants to continue their promising form at Wagga Cricket Ground.

"This week is still quite important," Perry said.

"We don't want to match it with the team who is on top and then come out and lose to a team below us so it is quite important.

"We are pretty much in finals, but we've been outrighted once this year so it isn't out of the question and we still have to turn up and play."

Perry believes a strong batting performance will be key.

"If we bat to our plans it will go a long way to winning the game but that is where we have struggled for the last two, three, four, five years," he said.

"If we can really concentrate on our batting it will go a long way towards helping us this week and into finals."

However they have lost some impact players with the bat after making three changes to the line up following the tie with the Blues.

Will Morley and Jack Carey come out of the side with John Hoey and Matt O'Neill coming in.

Ben Willis will also miss the first half of the clash, with Luke Fellows in his place.

With Morley and Carey out it will alter their batting order, however Perry isn't concerned.

"John Hoey will be a good inclusion and is a pretty handy all rounder," he said.

"We are probably one actual batsmen short but with Hoey and Matty O'Neill coming in we've brought in a couple of all rounders which helps with both sides of our game.

"Looking forward to the finals they are going to be close to our best 11 so it will be good to get them in now and see what they can offer."
