Wagga is one of 18 new locations the service will soon roll out to, just over a year after rideshare app Uber first launched in the city.
Ola Australia and New Zealand managing director Simon Smith said the introduction of the service to Wagga would provide greater choice and competition for both drivers and rideshare users in the region.
"Since launching in this country two years ago, millions of Australians have benefited from riding with Ola, and it's time we gave the same choice to people in Wagga Wagga," Mr Smith said.
"We also want to offer drivers in the area the opportunity to make money on their own schedule - whether it's driving on the weekend, during morning and evening commutes, or just in their spare time."
The news comes after Uber launched in December 2018, in direct competition with the established taxi service.
The company's launch drew interest in the community from potential drivers who believed rideshare apps presented an opportunity for people to work flexibly to supplement their income.
Locals looking for transport expressed their interest in having additional options to get around in the city to supplement the local taxi fleet.
A local Uber driver, who did not wish to be named, said the introduction would have a positive impact for rideshare drivers in the city.

He said it was his understanding Ola allowed its drivers to keep more of the fare from each trip than Uber.
"It is an advantage for the drivers," he said.
"They (Uber) take a bigger chunk."
The driver said he would now have the option to use both services at the same time, taking higher-paying trips from Ola while still taking on trips from the more established Uber.
The service is set to launch in Wagga in the coming weeks, with a variety of deals available to entice new users to try the service out including discount fares for the first two weeks.
The company is encouraging local drivers to join the service by taking zero per cent commission for the first four weeks before returning to its regular 15 per cent commission.
