Kahlefeldt and connections purchased The Ideal Dancer from the Rickie Alchin stable last month.
It only took three starts for the four-year-old to breakthrough for his new stable after scoring a tough victory at Albury last Friday.
Kahlefeldt believes The Ideal Dancer can feature prominently again on the back-up at Wagga.
"I think he's a bit of a chance if he can lead," Kahlefeldt said.
"If he can lead I think he will be hard to beat. As long as he can back up."
The Ideal Dancer is drawn gate three in the RWP Construction NR 70 Pace (2270m).
Kahlefeldt has two pacers in the race with Brooklyns Best, who has only had four runs for the stable, drawn in gate one.
Kahlefeldt said The Ideal Dancer is a welcome addition to the team.
"He's a pretty well-performed horse," he said.
"Rickie had a good opinion of him. The first couple of starts for us he just needed a bit of racing.
"He's already won about eight races. He's got a bit of a future I think."
The Ideal Dancer was purchased with Harness Racing NSW's inaugural Million Dollar Pace in mind. While Kahlefeldt said it is still an option, he said managing the conditions needed to make the race is a tough task.
"He would be the ideal horse for it," he said.
"He was purchased for that reason but think it's going to be hard keeping him under (NR rating of) 70 though."
Kahlefeldt has six pacers in at Wagga on Tuesday night and believes Seattle Trace, one of three stable representatives in the Riverina Security Solutions Ladyship NR 65 Pace (1740m), will represent value.
"I think Seattle Trace is a good chance at good odds," he said.
"I think she is a good each-way chance."
