A first class performance from Wagga City star Jon Nicoll helped the Cats to a comfortable victory over Lake Albert on Saturday.

Nicoll took five wickets with the ball and scored an unbeaten half century with the bat as the Cats cruised to a seven-wicket win over the Bulls at McPherson Oval.
Chasing 119 for victory, Wagga City reached 3-121 by the 26th over.
The win keeps the Cats in the hunt for second spot with one round to play.
Nicoll took 5-30 from 14 overs with the ball as Lake Albert were dismissed for 118 in the 38th over.
Sam Smith top scored with 36 and was the only player to past 12 for the Bulls, with extras being the next best with 17.
In reply, Wagga City lost Aaron Maxwell and Mitch Cawley early but soon steadied.
Nicoll (54 not out) and Sean Gaynor (28 not out) enjoyed an unbeaten stand of 71 to see Wagga City to victory.
Scott Billington picked up two wickets for the Bulls.
Wagga City will need to defeat Kooringal Colts in the final round to keep their top-two chances alive.
