Following global concerns over the spread of coronavirus, the university has released a statement asking for its international and domestic students to remain up-to-date on the Department of Health advice.
"The health and safety of our staff, students and communities, both domestically and internationally, is of paramount concern to the university and we will continue to liaise with our partners and appropriate bodies to assist in our response," said university vice-chancellor Professor Andrew Vann.

With a large amount of international students, the university has not been able to confirm whether its classes might be impacted by potential student and staff absences.
But, it has requested that its international students from the Hubei Province of Chine, to self-isolate themselves for 14 days after their departure from the country.
That advice has also been extended to any other student or staff member who might have travelled to mainland China and arrived back on or after February 1st.
"Students from Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, unless they have been in Hubei Province in the past 14 days or in any part of mainland China on or after 1 February 2020, do not need to self-isolate," Professor Vann said.
The university has also suspended all school-based travel to China and Hong Kong for the immediate future.
"We encourage all staff and students to check the latest updates from the Department of Health and follow the advice provided if they have concerns regarding exposure to coronavirus," Professor Vann said.
