The mare had gone seven months without winning before putting it all together at Leeton last time out.
The Leeton trainer changed her gear and was thrilled with the results.
"Last week was pretty impressive leading from six over the 2100 and she was legless the six weeks before that," Symes said.
"We just couldn't get her to fire but putting the hood on and firing her up a little seemed to have done job."
The hood will be on again at Albury on Friday night.
"We've been racing in an open bridle since we got her and she had been doing a good job for us .... and her track work was still really good but she just was firing in races," Symes said. "Todd (Prest) was saying she felt flat so we put the hood on to sharpen her up a little bit."
Sports Street has drawn gate two in the Resort Siesta Pace (1770m) and Symes hopes she will be close to the mark again.
"She has the draw but it seems like the first four horses will all go forward," he said.
"Hopefully we can get a little luck.
Symes also lines up Love At First Bite.
However after drawing barrier seven in the Blackdog Antiques Pace (2170m) he's looking for plenty of luck.
The meeting is in doubt due to the high temperature forecast with a decision to be made on Friday morning.
