Brigadier Jobson was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the military division.
During his time in Kapooka between 2014 and 2016, he led innovations in recruit training.
His preconditioning programs not only reduced injuries, but enhanced the army's cultural reform across a range of training institutions.
Brigadier Jobson returned to the service's aviation arm after leaving Blamey Barracks.
His leadership as commander of the 16th Aviation Brigade revitalised Army Aviation by accelerating its amphibious capability realisation.
As commander of Joint Task Force 646, his personal influence provided reassurance and inspired a hardened resolve across devastated communities during Operation Queensland Flood Assist.
Military awards are presented for outstanding achievements or service within the Australian Defence Force.
Brigadier Jobson is one of 13 to receive an AM this year.
