Hull has returned home to Wagga this week to be trackside for his father Allan's final two meetings as course broadcaster at MTC.
Hull, who started out at The Daily Advertiser, is one of ABC's most accomplished sports broadcasters and has called at major sporing events around the world.
Hull will take the microphone from his father to call the second race at Wagga on Tuesday, the Sportsbar Plus Benchmark 66 Handicap (1800m). It is a heat of the Wagga Stayers Series.
Hull is looking forward to the occasion.
"The races at Wagga have been such a huge part of our lives," Quentin said.
"I've been so lucky to call sport all over the world but I've never called a race in my hometown. People often ask me if I have so I thought as part of the celebration of Dad's last week that I would do a race on the Tuesday.
"It seems like an opportunity too good to turn down."
