After wins over St Michaels and Lake Albert in the past week, the Bulldogs are setting themselves up to pull off another upset against South Wagga on Saturday.
Wagga RSL were comfortable winners against second place St Michaels in the first match back, taking a 31-run victory, but captain Sam Perry believes the ladder-leading Blues pose a bigger threat at Harris Park.
"It's going to be a massive challenge," Perry said.
"South Wagga have easily the best team on paper but you just don't know.
"One-day cricket might suit as a little bit more than the two-day stuff."
Perry believes batting will again be the key.
He was thrilled as they posted 5-207 last week and again has scoring over 200 in his sights.
"At the end of the day we have to score 200 plus runs to give ourselves an opportunity and even then we still have to bowl well to beat them," Perry said.
"We've been batting to our plans and really understanding how we are going to go about our innings to accumulate runs in the middle to give ourselves every chance at the back end of our innings to score as many runs as we can.
"Last week in both games I think we batted the best I've been a part for the last couple of years and it all came down to knowing our plans and knowing what bowlers we were going to attack and which boundary was the easiest to go to."
However their batting stocks have taken a hit after Todd Henderson injured himself in Monday's Twenty20 win over Kooringal Colts.
Rod Guy is also out of the side after snaring two wickets last week.
Perry is unsure who will come into the side.
