Head to the official Australia Day awards ceremony at the Wagga Civic Theatre at 7pm. It will feature performances by the Australian Army Band Kapooka and the national anthem competition finalists before winding up around 9.30pm.

Five O'Clock Friday starts at the Thomas Blamey Tavern, with music from Aaron Oldaker in the beer garden. Courtesy bus available.
Music for the Mountains at Que Bar to raise funds for bushfire-affected communities in Batlow, Adelong and Tarcutta areas. Entry is $20.
Shear a sheep, drink a beer and eat a pie at Sporties' annual Australia Day weekend fundraiser. As well as mental health, this year's beneficiaries are families, communities and volunteers most in need after the destructive fires wreaking havoc to NSW. First timed heat starts at 6.30pm.

Rocket 88 brings a mix of classic and pub rock from the 60s through to the 2000s at the Duke of Kent from 8.30pm.
Coolamon's hosting a sister shire bushfire relief fundraiser at the New Coolamon Hotel from 4pm. Entertainment from Piston Broke, Mackenzie Bond, Curly Mills and Joe Blow, and there'll be a gold coin barbecue and donation buckets to raise money for Shoahaven Shire to distribute to local Rural Fire Service units.
Sunday
January 26
Australia Day celebrations and community breakfast at Wagga Beach from 7am to 9.30am. There'll be a ton of fun activities and entertainment for the whole family. The Australia Day citizenship ceremony welcomes our newest citizens at 8am.
Hit the Australia Day market at Apex Park from 8am until noon.
Frock up and hit the Murrumbidgee Turf Club for the Australia Day races. Gates open at noon, first race is at 1pm and there'll be seven races on the card. Cathy Wall will be playing and there's a stack of free kids entertainment. Entry is $10 and two for one.
The Convicts and Joe Blow are rocking Australia Day at the Boaty.
Yabby races at the Turvey Tavern from 3pm. Prizes for biggest yabby, best dressed yabby and most yabbies by weight. Prizes for the kids and more.
Romano's has green and gold cocktails all weekend, and Harry and Tom in the laneway from 4pm.
Que hosts a deck party from 4pm, live music from Jez Swan from 5pm-8pm before DJs take over. Drink specials and free zooper doopers.
Glory will be on the line at the Vic with a mullet competition, pavlova eating contest and yabby races throughout the day.
Palm Sundays continue at the Palm and Pawn in North Wagga, with live music through the afternoon from 2pm.
Inspire Church on Kooringal Road hosts an Aussie cultural night from 5pm.
