The Western Bulldogs utility has joined the list of Australian sport stars that have got behind fundraising to help those through the country's bushfire crisis.
Suckling started a GoFundMe page on Friday night and it has already reached his $10,000 goal.
For Suckling, watching from Melbourne as the region is under attack from the bushfires really hit home.
"Just it was hard to sit at home and see what was happening," Suckling said.
"I spent a lot of time growing up in places that were being hit hard by the fires."
Suckling set up 'Bleach for Bushfire Relief'.
He vowed to bleach his hair if the page managed to raise $5000.
If it got to $7500, he will give away his BOB300 guernsey, signed by Bob Murphy and himself, to one lucky person that donates.
And if it reached $10,000, Western Bulldogs teammate Jason Johannisen agreed to join Suckling in going blonde.
As of Monday morning, the page has soared past $11,000 and the pair will bleach their hair later this week.
Suckling will also give the guernsey he wore in Murphy's 300th game away.
"I just thought there was an opportunity to do something to give back to the communities and everyone who have been doing amazing things," he said.
Suckling decided the 'wonderful people' of the NSW Rural Fire Service was an appropriate group to donate to given the outstanding work they have done over the past month.
The funds raised will go towards helping purchase equipment for use by NSW Rural Fire Brigades across the state.
Given his initial expectations have already been surpassed, Suckling hopes to raise $15,000 through the page.
