The Dunns Road, East Ournie Creek, Green Valley, Talmalmo, Mount Youngal, Doubtful Gap and Adaminaby Complex bushfires merged on Friday night, with combined area of more than 600,000 hectares.

The RFS has advised residents in those regions that back-burning and containment work is under way as it tries to pull the fire up in its tracks, but it won't be a fast job.
"These fires are still not under control, and are not likely to be contained for some weeks due to their size," the RFS outlined in a community newsletter on Saturday.
"Over the coming days firefighters will endeavour to undertake backburning operations through the fire area.
"Residents across the area will note increased smoke and flames when the back burns area lit. They will also likely see an increase in aircraft movements as they drop retardant to assist with strengthening the containment lines."
