Jeremiah Poulos, who is six years old, and his younger brother Jyeron, who is four, told their mother they wanted to fight the fires alongside their heroes.
Too little to join the crews on the front lines, Jeremiah and Jyeron opted to sell cupcakes outside their Bourkelands home instead.
Jeremiah said they raised $735.20 with many people buying cupcakes, jelly cups and leaving behind a generous donation as well.
He said they planned to donate the money to the Wagga Fire Station. However, the station could not accepted cash donations so the money was given to the Salvation Army.
Their mother Amanda Poulos said she really loved seeing her boys donate their time and energy towards a good cause.

"The boys are really interested in the fires and want to find ways to help the people affected," she said.
As a family they have already volunteered at the evacuation centre in Wagga and donated items to various charities supporting the bushfire efforts.
