INVESTIGATIONS are continuing into what is believed to be a multi-million dollar cattle fraud operation in the Riverina.

Late last year the Rural Crime Prevention Unit, Strike Force Seger, raided a Kyeamba property and seized 19 head of cattle.
It is understood the cattle were trucked to an undisclosed location.
Rural Crime Southern Zone coordinator Detective Sergeant Damian Nott said no charges had been laid, however, the investigation was continuing.
"Police have been working on this (investigation) for around 12 months," he said.
He said the seized cattle were being treated as an "exhibit" and were currently subject to inquiry.
He also confirmed other items of interest from the Kyeamba property were seized.
Police and Rural Crime officers have also had to turn their attention to the bush fire crisis.
Sergeant Nott said it was discouraging to see rural crime when the country was experiencing such touch times with drought and now the bush fires.
Investigators believe the fraud is in excess of $2 million and stems from alleged fraudulent sale and trading of cattle.
A Kyeamba property was raided on December 17 and police inspected 400 Angus cows and calves.

IN a separate unrelated incident Police from Tumut are investigating the theft of 13 Angus maiden heifers from a property on Cockatoo Road, Killimicat between December 7 and December 30 2019.
The cattle were around 14 months old and had National Livestock Identification (NLIS) tags plus "Nimbo" tags.
