The fire is still out of control and has grown to 296,930 hectares, with most main roads in the area remaining closed.
Since January 2, the Dunns Road fire has grown by more than 170,000 hectares.

Sunday saw thick smoke blanket the city and region, which grounded flights to and from Wagga Airport and saw the official air quality index reaching 269 late in the afternoon.
The NSW government's air quality index rating states that anything at or above 200 is classified as hazardous and currently Wagga is sitting at 122.
A spokesperson for the airport confirmed, just before 5pm on January 5, that airlines flying in and out of Wagga had made the decision to ground their fleets due to the declining air quality.

However, flights have resumed this morning with Sydney and Melbourne bound flights departing from the regional airport at 6.29 and 6.52 am respectively.
The fire danger is low to moderate and there is a 40 per cent chance of showers in Wagga during the morning and afternoon, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
