Maggs took out three races on the program, including victories with Rollecks and Salvator Mundi in the two heats of the national ratings 60 series.
He also qualified Groom, who wasn't on his best behaviour but finished third after breaking in the opening event for 50 rated pacers.
Maggs was pleased with his team.
"It was a good night," Maggs said.
"You have to have them at the right place at the right time, but we had a bit of luck with two horses in heats winning through to the final and one didn't behave itself but qualified for the other so hopefully we can have some luck next week."
The finals will be run at the club's Carnival Of Cups meeting on Saturday.
Ideal Suspect also set by far the fastest time of the night, clocking a mile rate of 1:58.1.
"He ran a great race, it was probably run upset down, but you have to win them when you can," Maggs said.
It's been a big week for Maggs, who has a bushfire threatening his property.
He also took out the Leeton Pacers Cup with Clara Clare on Wednesday.
The mare is expected to line up in Temora Pacers Cup on Saturday.
