While most teenagers will be out partying, James McPherson will be looking to celebrate the New Year in a different way.

The young reinsman has four drives at the Albury Paceway and would love nothing more to punch home a winner in front of the huge New Year's Eve crowd.
But he may have to be patient with Olympic Gem in the $4590 HRNSW Rewards Series Heat, (1770m) appearing to be his best chance in the final race.
McPherson also trains the five-year-old mare who has a victory and second placing to her credit from her two most recent starts.
McPherson said Olympic Gem bumped into a smart pacer in Bettathanapokeindeye at her most recent start who has since won again at Leeton.
Bettathanapokeindeye is also racing in an earlier race tonight where she is once again a commanding odds-on favourite to make it three-in-a-row.
"I didn't think we could beat Bettathanapokeindeye last-start who looks to have above average ability," McPherson said.
"Olympic Gem got beat by 15m but then it was a further 15m away to the third horse.
"So if you take Bettathanapokeindeye out of the field, my mare wins comfortably.
"We are up against a much weaker field tonight and my mare gets into another winnable race."
Olympic Gem has drawn gate five with McPherson unsure whether he has the necessary gate speed to lead.
"She does possess good gate speed but I don't want to burn too much petrol early," he said. "I will probably attack for the lead early and see if it is up for grabs.
"She probably is best suited if she can find the front.
"But you can't afford to use her up too much out of the gate because she has got a tendency to over-race if she gets fired up.
"I used her up at the start three-starts back at Griffith and it backfired."
McPherson felt the Mal Diebert trained and driven The Analyzer who is having its first career start could prove the hardest to beat.
"The Analyzer has fairly good trial form," he said.
"I think it is in the market so it must go all right.
"I'm certainly wary of it and it does look the hardest to beat if it has got any ability from the favourable draw."
McPherson was also upbeat about the chances of Saving Major Percy for Chiltern trainer Peter Romero.
"He is a nice horse who is dropping in grade," he said.
"It doesn't look an overly strong affair and looks to be a strong winning chance.
"He always seems to get a cheque but in saying that it would be nice to see him in the winner's circle again.
He also drives outsider Love At First Bite in the opening race.
The first gets under way at 7.14pm but gates open at 4.30pm with another massive crowd expected.
