From opportunities to take a family picture with camels to face-painting and delicious food, there was plenty happening throughout the night.
Event coordinator Geoff Gray said while crowds were smaller than usual, the evening was still a success.
"It was a bit challenging with the weather, but we think we had about 2000 0r so people which is fantastic," he said.
"We're very happy the community came out to support it."
Mr Gray said the temperature dropped in the evening to make for a pleasant festive experience.
"It ended up quite nice, the camels and sheep were a bit of a wow factor for the kids and it was all a lot of fun," he said.
