Wagga Country Club has continued it's tradition of luring some of the biggest names in Australian golf to their showpiece event with the announcement of Fraser as the major playing guest.
Fraser will headline a field that is expected to include the likes of Dimi Papadatos, Peter O'Malley, Jordan Zunic and Matt Millar.
Speaking from the Australian PGA on the Gold Coast this week, Fraser, as a Corowa boy, revealed he is looking forward ticking off the Wagga event in March.
"It's a couple of hour drive but it feels like it's pretty close to home," Fraser said.
"I was trying to play it last year but in the end I ended up getting a late invite into a tournament in India and doing what we do, you've got to do these things and chase those big tournaments but I'm looking forward to getting back there.
"Matty Millar is a good mate of mine, who has played at it every year and he said it's a great few days so I'm looking forward to it."
It will be Fraser's first visit to Wagga Country Club in years.
"I've been there only as a kid years ago. I reckon I might have been 14 or 15 when I played there last time," he said.
"I'll be honest, I can't remember a single hole but that's probably because there's a few golf holes in this brain of mine so it's a bit clogged up. I'm looking forward to getting up there."
Fraser said the reputation of the Wagga event made it a hard offer to turn down.
"That's exactly what everyone says. It's really well run, it's a great golf course and obviously it's great prizemoney as a Pro-Am to come and play but I think overall everyone says it's a good, fun few days and the whole experience is just fantastic and that's why they keep coming back," he said.
"Matty (Millar) and Peter O'Malley have always raved about the time they've had up there so I'm looking forward to getting there and experiencing some of that country hospitality."
Fraser stepped away from the European Tour at the end of 2018 with three victories to his name.
He has spent recent times playing in Asia and at home in Australia as he looks to relax his playing schedule and spend more time at home in Melbourne.
Wagga Country Club's Pro-Am chairman Ashley Briggs said it was all systems go towards the event on March 26-27.
"In the midst of a drought with essentially no fairways, Wagga Country Club has maintained championship greens and fringes," Briggs said.
"The Wagga Pro-Am is extremely important for our city as a significant leading NSW sporting event."
Ron Crouch Transport has returned for a 10th year of principal sponsorship for the event which is again a finalist for the 2019 NSW Pro-Am of the Year, after wins in 2016 and 2018.
Stephanie Na is expected to return as the ladies feature professional, while the club is also looking forward to the input of new club professionals James and Tegan Purcell.
