Two of the Riverina's most exciting talent were recognised at the Riverina School Sports Blues Awards in Wagga on Friday.

Budding Kooringal High School netball star Sophie Fawns was recognised for an outstanding year with the prestigious Lorraine Wright Award for secondary students.
Fawns made the Australian under 17 netball squad, as well as winning selection in the Sydney Swifts Academy.
The 16-year-old was honoured to win the award.
"It's very nice. It's a very prestigious award and I definitely feel very honoured to win it," Fawns said.
"I'm happy with the year I've had. I've had a lot of good experiences and I'm very happy.
"I'm having a lot of fun with it."
Fawns is looking forward to lining up with Mangoplah-Cookardinia United-Eastlakes in the Riverina League again and hopes to make he most of any representative chances that come her way.
"Hopefully I can make the NSW team again and see where it takes me," she said.
Parkview Public School's Tallis McMillan was named the winner of the Bernie O'Connor Award for his efforts representing the state in Australian rules.
McMillan was rapt to add his name to the list of winners.
"It's pretty good," McMillan said.
"It's been a pretty big year."
McMillan, a midfielder, hopes to one day play in the AFL, like Adam Schneider, who presented him the award.
Schneider, who is now an assistant coach at GWS Giants, was the guest speaker at the annual awards.
