The Wagga Inter Church Council are busy preparing for the 2019 Christmas Carols in the Park.
Geoff Gray, event coordinator, said the event is all in the name of the Christmas spirit, providing an opportunity to celebrate the holiday in a family-friendly environment.
"It's a group of churches coming together to present the story of the birth of Jesus," he said.
"It brings people from all backgrounds and allows them to share that.
"Everyone can join in, we organise this as a way to give back to the community, and it is based on the Christian beliefs of Christmas which is that it's about the birth of Jesus."
From opportunities to take a family picture with camels to face-painting and delicious food, there will be plenty happening on the night.
"There are pre-carols performances at 6pm with the main carols kicking off at 7.30pm, and there will be fun kids activities and food vendors available," he said.
Natalie Goode, program director, said the carols would provide a chance for people to step back in time.
"Experience the wonder of Mary as she is visited by the angel Gabriel, sit with the shepherds on that starry night as they discover the best news the world has ever heard and witness the wise men journey on their camels as they fulfil their quest to find King Jesus," she said.
