The inaugural event features a 15 kilometre time trial and a 44 kilometre road race near Uranquinty on Sunday.
Wagga cycling legend Barry O'Hagan is pleased with the response to the event from clubs across the Riverina and beyond.
"There are a fair few people coming from Albury, Griffith, Cobram plus the Wagga clubs and Cootamundra so it should be interesting," O'Hagan said. "It is the first time it had been held."
Around 50 competitors are expected to take to the road with Myles Stewart among the favoured riders.
Women using race against the men but the Tolland club is looking to cater to the growing numbers.
Instead they will have a separate road race, which will set off after the three men's divisions.
"Generally the girls in our interclub races ride off a handicap with the boys but we've got a women's standalone," O'Hagan said.
"There is A, B and C grade in the men's and we thought we would try the women's.
"We can't have the grades in the women's, as I don't think the numbers will be there, but at least they have a standalone race for themselves so it will be good to see how they go."
The time trial gets under way at 9am with the road race to follow.
The event is open to anyone looking to participate as part of new come and try rules from Cycling NSW.
