Bloss Riverina is a support group for people who have lost a baby, formed in May, 2018 by four mothers who each had still births.
Megan Gaffney is one of the mums who is helping organise the group's second Christmas barbecue.
"Mothers and Fathers Day are obviously really tough times for us but often people can forget that Christmas is a difficult time too," she said.
"We just thought it would be nice for families to get together for Christmas and thank everyone for their support plus offer our own to those who need it."
Mrs Gaffney lost a child of her own at birth and knows all to well how hard it can be.
"Ruby would be 9 years old now," she said.
Bloss Riverina was formed to fill a gap in support across the region.
"We felt there was a gap, a missing link in Wagga for support - There's a lot of good resources in Sydney and bigger cities but it's lacking here," Mrs Gaffney said.
"There are a lot of families faced with similar situations."
In other news:
Miss Gaffney, who has gone on to have two boys and a girl, said the group gets bigger every year.
"It is obviously awful that it's growing in one way but at the same time it's good to know we all now have that support available from one another," she said.
For her, the Christmas barbecue is a way of remembering family members who still have a huge part in the lives of many.
"Its really good for the kids to be able to hang a decoration on tree for her and remember," Mrs Gaffney said.
"The ones we lost are still a huge part of the family for us, she was our first child and it's times like these we need the support."
The barbecue is open to all family and friends in need of support and will be held at Wagga Botanic Gardens from 11am-1pm.
