Technology is driving photography into new and highly accessible platforms with the internet, the iPhone and social media radically transforming the medium.
"While there was an old-fashioned innocence to the era of the Box Brownie - holiday snaps, photo albums, and family portraits on mantle pieces far and wide - today's world is a faster, busier and more complex environment, in which an unprecedented volume of visual data circles the globe - permeating our lives - 24/7, 365 days a year," artist Joel Markham stated.
Shooting the Breeze will explore the broader themes of contemporary photography and should not be missed.
The talk runs in conjunction with Joel Markham's solo exhibition Heaven and Earth currently on display until Sunday January 5, 2020.
