The Wanderers held the second of their trials for senior men, under 23 and under 18 on Saturday with record numbers turning out to Gissing Oval.
But it was the quality of the players on display that impressed Babic most.
"The trials were very pleasing," Babic said.
"There is a really nice balance of senior players, regular first graders and quality youth players coming through.
"With the quality that was there I'm confident we'll be able to field two pretty good sides."
There were a few new faces, well-known Football Wagga players, that the Wanderers hope to be able to announce as new signings in the coming weeks.
The Wanderers will begin pre-season training in late January with Capital Football's National Premier League (NPL) season to begin late in April.
"I like to eight to 12 week lead in," Babic explained.
"Our first pre-season game will be in mid-February onwards and we have some good, hard hit-outs planned."
Babic said the door is always open for new and prospective players at the club despite the trials having finished for next year.
