Wagga's Tim King and Sarah Vasey were announced as Faces of the Carnival at the club's Christmas Party Races on Saturday.
Their roles are set to start in the new year and will involve various promotional campaigns as part of the cup.
Mr King said it was a great honour to be selected as he did not expect to win.
"It'd be a great experience for me to mix with all the trainers, owners and businesses that support the carnival," he said.
"I've always had a keen interest in racing and it's something I'm passionate about.
"It'd be great to give back in some way."
The self-employed 29-year-old has been in Wagga for the past five years having moved from Goulburn.
The club's marketing manager Michelle Merrylees said they had a strong lineup of entrants this year.
"All the entrants did a great job and presented themselves very well," Ms Merrylees said.

"We had about half a dozen males and females - they made it a very tough choice for the directors."
The winners announced after the judging dinner last Tuesday.
Ms Merrylees said Mr King and Ms Vasey will have major roles in the club's gala dinner in March.
"Then there'll be lots of photo shoots regarding the Gold Cup carnival for all the marketing for the cup," she said.
"Then they'll be the faces for the club for the two days [of the cup]."
Club CEO Steven Keene said all the entrants were suitable for the job.
"It was a tough decision and they all should be extremely proud of the way they presented themselves," Mr Keene said.
"Unfortunately, we could only choose two to be ambassadors."
The Gold Cup will be held on April 30 to May 1 next year.
