A man will face court today charged after an assault in Narrandera overnight left a young man unresponsive and in a serious condition.

Police have been told two men, aged 23 and 26, were involved in an altercation outside a licensed premises in Twyman Street, Narrandera, about 9pm on Thursday.
Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended and found a 26-year-old man unresponsive.
The man was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Wagga Hospital in a serious condition.
Police arrested a 23-year-old man at the scene. He was taken to Narrandera Hospital under police guard for an injury to his hand.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Upon his release from hospital, the 23-year-old man was charged with recklessly cause grievous bodily harm.
He was refused bail and is due to face Wagga Local Court today.
