TRAC took out the second edition of the tournament with a 49-run win over defending champions, Mater Dei Catholic College, at Bolton Park on Wednesday.

A commanding performance from TRAC all-rounder Sophie Bruckner led the way as she smashed 27 not out and took 3-18 with the ball.

TRAC batted first and set the win up with a strong score of 3-142 from their 20 overs.

Mater Dei were unable to chase the runs down and finished at 8-93.

TRAC coach Jen Jenkins was proud of the team's effort.

"They were thrilled," Jenkins said.

"We've got two girls in our team that are in the Riverina Academy, some other girls that play local cricket for clubs and then some other girls that were playing for the first time. So a good mix of experience and girls that were happy to give cricket a go."

Bruckner (27), Lara Jay, Dominica Jackson (21), Lucy McKelvie-Hill (17) and Polly McKelvie-Hill (13) all finished unbeaten and were among the runs in TRAC's innings.

Sophie Edmunds was the pick of the bowlers for Mater Dei with 2-23.

Paris Hall top scored in reply with 30 for Mater Dei, while Edmunds provided good support with an unbeaten 14.

Bruckner and Jackson took five wickets between them for TRAC, while Lucy McKelvie-Hill managed three catches.
