Riverina Water said the incident occurred on Lake Albert Road just after 2pm, and the water will be turned off in the suburb for the next few hours as workers fix the system.
The company also reminded residents what to do when water is restored.
"Open taps slowly to let trapped air clear," Riverina Water in an online statement.
"If you experience discoloured water don't use hot water systems, dishwashers and washing machines.
"Run your taps at full flow until the water clears."
If the water doesn't clear call Riverina Water on 02 6922 0608.
More to come.
