A VACANT and burnt-out house that has been an eyesore for the residents of Tichborne Crescent for almost five years will finally be torn down.
The Kooringal house has been described by neighbours as a "nightmare," who waited for its owners to complete Wagga council's demolition order.
In other news:
But with the July deadline come and gone, the city's councillors gave its staff a green light to immediately proceed with demolishing the house during Monday night's meeting.
The resolution of council will not require ratepayers to foot the bill with all costs associated with the demolition to be recovered from the property owner.
The Tichborne Crescent house is just one of six burnt-out houses within the city.
