The former Yanco-Wamoon player was coached by former Thunder forward Tommy Gemmell.
Gemmell believes he's just what the border club has been missing.
"He's got good communication skills, will provide direction around the field and his kicking is top notch," Gemmell said.
"He will be just what the Thunder needs with his organising and communication."
Thunder snapped a three-year finals drought last season, with makeshift halves in coach Adrian Purtell and Robbie Byatt.
Albury president Rick O'Connell is pleased to have Bradbrook on board.
Especially after a recommendation from three-time Thunder premiership player Lou Goodwin.
"He was highly recommended by Lou Goodwin, he said he'll be really good and Tommy Gemmell coached him in New Zealand as well," O'Connell said.
"He's got terrific organisational skills, is a good defender and he'll be able to structure our play really well."
Goodwin was a star in the club's three straight premierships from 2012 to 2014 with the former Weissel Medal winner playing against Bradbrook for his home club West Wyalong in this year's Group 20 competition.
Albury is also hopeful Welsh international James Olds will play for the club after returning from Brisbane.
Olds had previously had two stints on the border, but in Southern Inland.
The high-scoring fullback was named man of the match in the Steamers' 2015 premiership before going onto international success in rugby league.
Thunder have also signed Culcairn codehoppers Mosese Baleidrokadroka and Senio Tuala.
Baleidrokadroka previous played rugby union in Fiji.
However the club has lost some forward firepower with dual best and fairest Jon Huggett and Riverina representative Luke Ingram moving on.
The Group Nine season starts on April 18 but a draw for the 16-round season is yet to be released.
