Nidhan Josan is bringing Vanilla Pod, an espresso and food bar, which is currently located in Albury and Queanbeyan.

The cafe will be located at the Sturt Mall and is expected to open Monday, December 2.

"I have been in the [hospitality] business for the last seven years," Mr Josan said.

"I completed my study and apprenticeship in Melbourne and then I moved to Queanbeyan ... and the Vanilla Pod concept started 2.5 years ago.

"We mostly are looking at a fresh produce; everything is prepared fresh on site."

Mr Josan remained confident that the business will be well received within the community, despite some challenges in the sector.

"There's a lot of foot traffic, which will be beneficial for the business," he said.

"We are proud of our products and I hope that the people of Wagga will love it."

The cafe will mainly focus on breakfast and lunch, but will trial late-night shopping hours on Thursday night and also Friday and Saturday evenings.

"We'll have at least six staff ... three in the kitchen and three out the front," Mr Josan said.

"It will bring new jobs to the city."

Mr Josan has been working flat-out to ensure the cafe is ready for business next week.

"I'm excited but nervous, there's a lot that we still need to prepare for before opening, but we're ready for it," he said.
