The Saints already had tied up first innings points and headed into Saturday's second day of play with a 14-run lead and eight wickets in hand.
Saint Michaels extended that lead to 85 in the first eight overs and declared at 5-194, with James Evans top scoring with 81.
Wagga RSL were unable to bat the remaining 69 overs out for the day and were dismissed a second time for 135.
That left the Saints with 18 overs to reach 51 for the outright win and they did so with just the loss of one wicket.
Michael Cattell (21 not out) and Stu Slocombe (20 not out) guided Saint Michaels home with just under eight overs to spare.
Saint Michaels captain Beck Frostick described the outright as one of the best wins he has been involved in during his short time at the club.
"It was very pleasing," Frostick said.
"It was our first outright since I've been over here and my first as captain. The atmosphere was so good, we went and had a beer out on the ground after the game.
"It was great, very pleasing."
The win, Saint Michaels' third in succession, sees them leapfrog Wagga City into second spot on the ladder.
"It puts us second in the league now...and we feel like we can beat anyone on our day," Frostick said.
"Things are going well and it all comes down to what we're doing at training.
"It's important that we keep training hard and keep training with purpose."
Todd Henderson again top scored for Wagga RSL with 45 in their second innings.
Five other Bulldogs batsmen made it into double figures but were unable to go on with it as the Saints attack were able to chime in with regular wickets.
Evans capped off a fine game with 3-18 with the ball, while Nathan Corby and Dan Coates also picked up a couple of wickets each.
Frostick paid tribute to the Saints bowlers for getting the job done in consecutive weeks.
"It was a very good effort," he said.
"There were a couple of times there, especially when Todd Henderson and Sam Perry were at the crease, that I thought that it might not be our day.
"Then I threw Dan Coates the ball and tried him. He proved a real wicket-taker for us. He got both Todd and Sam out and really changed the game for us."
The big win sets up a well-timed showdown with Wagga City next Saturday for the Saints.
They should be boosted by the return of a couple of key players for the meeting with the Cats as well.
Wagga RSL will try to bounce back against Colts.
