Every second year the Wagga Embroiders Guild put on an exhibition to a specific theme, asking entrants to create pieces based around that.
This year, the theme was 'Through the Looking Glass' and Miss Holbrook added a unique touch to the concept.
"I decided to take a more personal approach for my pieces and looked at it in the way of how my mind sees thing and who I am as a person," she said.
"So I focused on my anxieties and they often inhibit my sleep, or how when I do try and go to sleep I am often overthinking things and have a million thoughts racing through my head."
Miss Holbrook's feature piece showed common phrases that go through her mind to reflect this.
She said she hopes her studies in visual art and design at ANU will facilitate a bright future in textiles.
