Leeton footballer Jacob Townsend has been linked to a move to Essendon.

Townsend was delisted by Richmond back in October after four years at the Tigers, which included the 2017 premiership.
Originally his former club, Greater Western Sydney, was tipped to pick him up but now it appears likely that Essendon will hand him a lifeline.
Townsend, 26, met with the Bombers at their Tullamarine headquarters last week.
He has played 48 AFL games across his time at the Giants and Tigers.
