The cup has emerged as one of the most popular races in the state's southern districts.
The racing carnival continues today with the Hair of the Dog Day.
Organisers describe the day, which features a $30,000 1800m race, as "fast becoming a classic of country racing and is a great follow up to Friday's Snake Gully Cup".
"It is a great time to come and visit and enjoy the good country hospitality that Gundagai has to offer," the event's description reads.
Gates open at 11am today with courtesy buses to and from the racecourse.
