The Bulldogs became the first team to dismiss Jon Nicoll last week, but fell 56 runs short at Robertson Oval.
Captain Sam Perry is on the hunt for points against St Michaels to keep inside the top four.
"It's definitely a game we want to win," Perry said.
"The top two is going to be South Wagga and Wagga City so it is going to be a fight for those next two positions out of the four teams
"St Micks happen to be one of those teams so we have to win, but they are going to be as hungry as we are after a pretty good win on the weekend."
Perry was pleased with how the side responded to a fast start by the Cats batting attack, but was disappointed to lose 4-1 trying to chase 241 for victory.
"We gave ourselves every opportunity to win it but lose 4-1 when you're chasing it is pretty hard to comeback and win the game," he said.
"I thought we bowled well and we started well with the bat and were right in the game until we lost that 4-1.
"From there we had to fight hard to get back into the game and unfortunately we couldn't do it."
John Hoey and Henry Standley come out of the side with coach Ben Willis returning.
Willis will be a boost to their bowling ranks with seven wickets from his four matches so far.
"Benny Willis will be a welcome addition and adds to our bowling strength again," Perry said.
