On Wednesday morning, Forest Hill Rural Fire Service and and Fire and Rescue NSW Station 472 Turvey Park responded today reports of a truck alight at the new BP service station at the Sturt Highway, Gumly.
The Forest Hill RFS said, in an online statement, that thankfully the driver had identified a failed wheel bearing and acted quickly with his onboard extinguisher to put out the fire prior to the arrival of firefighters.
"Crews stood by with fire protection while the driver dissembled the failed hub and rendered the scene safe," the statement said.
