The charity group, run by a group of more than 65 dedicated volunteers, delivers food three times a week to those who need it.
Carevan Wagga project manager Lynne Graham said the money will meet a gap that is not being met.
"We're working on a lot of donations for food, but we do have a need for extra food every meal time," Ms Graham said.
"I have a budget for purchasing extra items that don't come to us.
"That amount is fantastic and we also have a lot of ongoing costs, such as our monthly rent and utility bills."
Ms Graham said Carevan has been supported by the local community since operations began in February.
"We've been wonderfully blessed by people within the community, both by individuals, organisations and community groups like the lodge," she said.
"We're coming up towards 3000 meals that we've provided for people in need in Wagga.
"Some of those people are homeless, some are socially isolated, others are suffering food insecurity and social disadvantages."
Ms Graham said any donation is greatly appreciated.
The Wagga Masonic Lodge raised half the money through a raffle and the rest was donated through Masonic Care.
Masonic Care officer Ross Reid said donating funds to those who need it was a privilege for their organisation.
"It's one of our first charities that we've supported in a little while," he said.
"We have a few members now who are interested in helping the local area and from here on, we'll be more active in raising funds for more charities in Wagga."
