Kelly and younger brother Ben both signed with SANFL Central District on the weekend and were announced as two of the club's new recruits on Monday night.

Fellow Tigers premiership player Dylan Morton will also head to Adelaide and has signed with SANFL premiers Glenelg.

Jackson Kelly returned to Robertson Oval this season after two years with Ovens and Murray League club Wodonga Raiders.

The 23-year-old was one of Tigers' best in the grand final win over Griffith.

The opportunity to further his career in the SANFL was too good of a chance to refuse.

"It should be good. I'm excited to give it a crack," Kelly said.

"I think it will be a bit of a step up but I'm looking forward to the challenge and seeing how I go."

Kelly said it was a tough decision to leave Tigers after one season back at his home club.

"Yeah it was a tough call. I did want to stay at Tigers," he said.

"A lot of the boys are staying at Tigers and they will be a good chance to go all the way again but it is a good opportunity to go over there and have a crack at playing some good footy. I didn't want to say no.

"I could have said no and the chance might not happen again so I want to take it and see what happens."

Jackson was injured in the early part of this season but found a home in Tigers' midfield.

Ben missed the grand final with a hamstring injury, that did hamper him at stages through the season. He made centre-half-back his own for most of the season but can play at either end of the ground.

The pair travelled to Adelaide last month where they met with a couple of SANFL clubs.

Jackson's friendship with former Coolamon player Mitch McKelvie drew him to Central District.

"I'm good mates with Mitch and there are a few boys from the Riverina over there as well," he said.

"I felt comfortable there and they sound like a good club."

The Kelly boys join McKelvie, Luke Habel, Murray Stevenson and Sam Milne as former Riverina League players at Central District.

Central District started pre-season training this week and the Kellys will make the move to Adelaide in three weeks time.

Jackson said he will leave Tigers with plenty of great memories.

"I loved this year, I really enjoyed it. It was a good decision to me to come back and it paid off in the end," he said.

"We had a lot of success and playing with a lot of good mates."
